Ooops.....the word is out!
For the last two years, Connect Realty has led a relatively safe existence largely under the radar. But the word is out. Along with many others this year, Inman news is focusing its attention on Connect’s remarkable growth.
In this article released today, Inman’s Andrea V. Brambila expands on the reasons why Connect was able to grow to over 1,200 agents in just two years. And not just any two years: these particular two years were smack in the middle of the recession that saw the National Association of Realtors’ membership fall by almost 17%. How did we do it? Connect Realty Agent Steve Hillier says, “The secret is right here: Give the agent just a little wind under their wings. And don’t bang them with fees. And when they sell a house, for goodness sake give them most of their money.” The article focuses on the bargain-priced technology package and also on the recruiting-for-retirement concept. Tom Conway, a 17-year veteran of RE/MAX who joined Connect about a month ago, says that recruiting is a good way for him to recover what he lost when the bad economy took his retirement fund down with it.
